as well as the local business community.

For a number of years Cirencester College has worked in partnership with key employers through its innovative
Academy programmes including financial services.
Each Academy comprises senior representatives from business who determine how to meet the training needs
of each industry sector.
The Academy of Finance was the college's response to employers identifying a perceived lack of young people committed to and passionate about building a career in financial services.
Cirencester College has worked in partnership with Careers Academies UK to offer programmes designed to
provide A Level or equivalent qualifications together with a purpose built BTEC National Award in Personal and
Business Finance. Employer partners offer these students mentors, the opportunity of a six-week paid internship and access to employer-run seminars and events.
Employers benefit from the ability to shape the development of the workforce of the future but also from the opportunity to employ Academy graduates.
